Grace Notes. My digital journal: reflections, from a soul led life.
I write from the messy middle. Of real life, motherhood, business, emotions, becoming.
These are notes I might scribble in the margins of my day. They are not polished or perfect. They are real, slow, sometimes tender.
You’re welcome to read along.

Creating in the margins

It’s the art of weaving creativity into the small, often overlooked pockets of time and energy we have. We might all love the idea of ‘deep focus’ and ‘creative retreats’, but isn’t our real life

Insights into how I run my business as a Highly Sensitive Person
For as long as I can remember I have been what is now coined as a ‘Highly Sensitive Person’ (HSP). Needing down time, very sensitive to noise, lighting, having a rich inner life, suffering from migraines if I’m overtaxed/not getting enough sleep, perceptive around others emotions and extremely empathetic are all traits I experience as a HSP.

Balancing Work and Life
When we strive to be perfect in areas of our lives it is unlikely there is going to be balance! Perfectionism pushes you to work harder and harder with no relief in sight. And the more responsibilities you have the more intense perfectionism often is, leading to many health concerns. The fears of slowing down are often rooted in guilt, not wanting to let others down and anxiety around the future.
